Fri 27 January 2017, 13:00 – 15:00
People’s History Museum
Come along to this monthly discussion event where Mark Krantz will facilitate a discussion on the political talking point of that month, whilst PHM staff will draw links from the topics discussed to the museum’s collection. Mark will deliver a presentation outlining the different views and arguments. Topics for discussion will be decided in advance of each session, and participants will have input into the subject matter and themes to be explored. Join us and Have Your Say!
Make sure to register for this event so we can let you each month’s topic in advance of the discussion.
Fri 27 January will focus on the question ‘How will the world change now that Donald Trump is President?’
Sat 25 February will focus on the question What next in the fight for equality? 2017 marks 50 years since the (partial) decriminalisation of homosexual acts. Since then, the LGBT+ community has made huge gains. With same-sex marriage won, many believe that the fight is over, but how equal are we really today?
Suitable for adults and young people
